Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded when the extraordinary French pianist was merely nineteen years old, this stunning trio session heralded the arrival of a major new voice in jazz. 'Estate' highlights Petrucciani's breathtaking technical virtuosity and deep, romantic lyricism, heavily echoing the influence of Bill Evans. The album won widespread international acclaim, effectively launching his tragically short but massively influential career.
