Album Notes & Community Reviews

A challenging, highly visceral solo recording, 'Dejarme solo!' highlights the immense technical capacity of French reedist Michel Portal. By utilizing multi-tracking techniques, he weaves chaotic, deeply expressive free jazz dialogues entirely with himself on various clarinets and saxophones. The album is a bold, uncompromising exploration of acoustic limits and European free improvisation.
