Album Notes & Community Reviews
Mick Gordon's score for id Software's reboot of 'Doom' runs to 31 tracks and 128 minutes, built with his DOOM Instrument, which feeds pure sine waves through four separate processing chains to corrupt them. One track is remixed by audio designer Chad Mossholder and another was composed by audio director Chris Hite, while Gordon's guitar lines are layered with chainsaw audio from the original 1993 game. The score won the DICE Award for Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition and The Game Awards prize for Best Music/Sound Design.
