Album Notes & Community Reviews

Widely regarded as the strongest solo effort from the Rolling Stones frontman, this Rick Rubin-produced album strips away the synthetic gloss of his 1980s work. The record delivers a driving, roots-oriented rock and roll sound, balancing sharp funk workouts with earnest soul balladry and guest appearances from Lenny Kravitz.
