A Bridge to Far

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Midlake's sixth album, 'A Bridge to Far', sees the band balance their signature pastoral folk and soft psychedelia with a cinematic and unforced sound crafted by producer Sam Evian. Born from a period of professional uncertainty, the record's instrumental palette is enriched with strings, brass, and guest harmonies, creating a sound that is both atmospheric and deeply grounded. The songs serve as a meditation on hope, renewal, and mortality, reflecting the title's intention as a path toward a better place.
