Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping entirely outside of his role as frontman for Social Distortion, Mike Ness delivered a surprisingly roots-oriented, deeply traditional solo debut[cite: 1]. 'Cheating at Solitaire' largely abandons aggressive punk tempos in favor of authentic rockabilly, country, and americana arrangements that perfectly frame his weathered, often highly introspective songwriting[cite: 1].
