Album Notes & Community Reviews

For his second solo outing, the Genesis bassist and guitarist surprisingly assumed lead vocal duties while pivoting sharply towards polished, contemporary pop-rock. Featuring prominent rhythmic contributions from The Police's Stewart Copeland, the album heavily incorporates modern synthesizers and driving new wave sensibilities. While it received a mixed critical reception, it foreshadowed the commercial direction he would later perfect with Mike + The Mechanics.
