Burning Desire

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Burning Desire', MIKE refines his signature abstract hip-hop with a more accessible, self-assured approach, placing his introspective and often meandering flow front and center. The album's production melds hazy, sun-kissed jazz and soul samples with moments of abrasive, industrial texture, creating a sonically diverse backdrop for his lyrical explorations of grief, identity, and revenge. Critics noted this work as a particularly potent and serpentine entry in his discography, showcasing his growth as both a producer and lyricist with a newfound confidence.
