Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded entirely in the wake of his mother's sudden passing, MIKE delivers a profoundly introspective and grief-stricken examination of mental health. Self-produced under his 'dj blackpower' moniker, the beats are sluggish, looping pitched-down soul samples that perfectly mirror his mumbled, lethargic flow. It remains a foundational text in the hazy, lo-fi sLUms rap movement.
