Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating firmly within the American underground, Rory Ferreira delivers a staggeringly dense, hyper-literate hip-hop album heavily influenced by James Baldwin and Black radical traditions. The production relies on woozy, glitching jazz samples that provide an intricate backdrop for his sprawling, philosophical spoken-word delivery. It functions as a brilliant, fiercely intellectual exercise in conscious rap.
