Album Notes & Community Reviews

Organized by Atlantic Records, this relaxed studio summit paired Coltrane's expansive tenor with Milt 'Bags' Jackson's distinctly cool vibraphone phrasing. Supported by a premier rhythm section of Hank Jones, Paul Chambers, and Connie Kay, the session emphasized traditional, effortlessly swinging blues structures.
