Album Notes & Community Reviews

Backed by an all-star rhythm section featuring Herbie Hancock and Ron Carter, the Modern Jazz Quartet vibraphonist transitioned seamlessly into the polished, orchestrally driven CTI sound. Arranged by Don Sebesky, the lush string sections provide an impeccably smooth, soulful bed for Jackson's brilliantly nimble, swinging improvisations.
