Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating firmly within the highly stylized tiki-lounge aesthetic, the pianist and arranger crafts a deeply atmospheric, faux-Polynesian instrumental suite. The orchestrations utilize dense layers of marimbas, exotic percussion, and echoing flutes to evoke a heavily romanticized, cinematic vision of a forbidden island paradise. It remains a highly prized, classic artifact of the mid-century stereophonic exotica craze.
