Album Notes & Community Reviews
Produced by Colin Newman of Wire, this darkly cinematic album perfectly encapsulates the Israeli expatriate band's unique fusion of European coldwave and Middle Eastern melodic scales. 'Raging Souls' utilizes propulsive, tribal drum patterns and dense synthesizer atmospheres, anchoring the dual vocal interplay of Samy Birnbach and Malka Spigel. The critically acclaimed release cemented their reputation as central figures in the 1980s continental post-punk movement.
