Album Notes & Community Reviews
Completely shedding their early synthpop aesthetic, Ministry unleashed a terrifying, mechanical barrage of distorted samples, relentless drum machines, and heavy, thrashing guitars. This violently abrasive album essentially created the definitive template for industrial metal, melding dancefloor rhythms with pure sonic aggression. It is a remarkably misanthropic, raw, and angry assault on the senses that perfectly captures the paranoia of the late Cold War era.
