Album Notes & Community Reviews

A deeply unsettling, radically uncompromising debut, 'Drastic Measures, Drastic Movement' positions Minny Pops at the vanguard of European electronic post-punk. The band eschews traditional rock structures, utilizing primitive drum machines, abrasive synthesizer drones, and deadpan vocals to create an intensely paranoid, industrial atmosphere. The record's stark originality caught the attention of Factory Records, securing them a crucial place in the international coldwave movement.
