Chantal Passamonte's debut under the Warp banner presents a highly textured, occasionally unsettling take on intelligent dance music. 'One on One' constructs fragmented, metallic rhythms using extensive field recordings and abstract electroacoustic manipulation. It sidesteps the era's clinical digital perfection in favor of a noisy, deeply organic, and chaotic electronic environment.
