Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by John Porter, this beautifully crafted release found the Connecticut jangle-pop stalwarts navigating major-label production for the first time. 'Drenched' polishes their R.E.M.-indebted acoustic sound with fuller arrangements, highlighting Mark Mulcahy's emotive vocal performances and Ray Neal's chiming guitar lines. Despite its critical praise, severe label disputes effectively shelved the band's career shortly after its release.
