Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in Jackson, Mississippi, this monumental session marks the first time the revered acoustic bluesman was extensively captured playing an electric guitar. Retaining his unmistakable, hypnotic slide technique and conversational spoken introductions, the record forcefully demonstrated how his raw, Delta-rooted style could translate perfectly to amplified instrumentation without losing its primal authenticity.
