Album Notes & Community Reviews

Modest Mouse's sprawling debut is a deeply melancholic and lonely portrait of vast American landscapes and existential dread. The album fuses raw, anxious indie rock with elements of post-hardcore and Midwest emo, perfectly capturing Isaac Brock's feelings of profound alienation.
