Working with Steve Albini for the first time, MONO achieved a new level of clarity and power on this album. The tracks are cinematic and patient, building from delicate glockenspiel melodies to overwhelming walls of guitar noise. It is a beautiful, tragic exploration of the post-rock dynamic.
