Album Notes & Community Reviews

Acting as the heavier, 'dark' half of a two-part thematic project, Ripley Johnson's psychedelic duo channels the chilling winter landscapes of their native Portland. The record relies on relentless, driving motorik drum machines and swirling synthesizer lines, anchoring heavy, fuzz-drenched guitar solos. It is a highly hypnotic, gothic-tinged excursion into repetitive krautrock.
