Crescent

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Documenting the deeply eccentric genius of the blind street musician, 'Crescent' fuses idiosyncratic percussion instruments with sprawling, modern jazz and classical counterpoint. The rhythmic structures are highly complex, drawing heavily on Native American motifs and urban field recordings. It is an essential early glimpse into the avant-garde aesthetic of the 'Viking of 6th Avenue'.
