Emerging from the mid-90s UK scene, the London-based trio infused their downtempo electronic beats with distinct, blues-driven guitar work. Skye Edwards's remarkably smooth, soulful vocal delivery provides a warm, mesmerizing focal point against scratchy vinyl samples and heavy bass lines. The debut firmly established their polished, slightly more accessible iteration of the brooding Bristol sound.
