Album Notes & Community Reviews

Composed by Morton Feldman in 1982 as a tribute to his close friend and colleague, this deeply meditative piece is meticulously performed by violinist Josje ter Haar and pianist John Snijders[cite: 1]. The seventy-five-minute modern classical composition is remarkably sparse, utilizing intensely quiet, highly dissonant microtonal shifts to explore the very nature of acoustic sustain[cite: 1].
