Album Notes & Community Reviews

An essential recording of 20th-century avant-garde composition, paying tribute to the titular abstract expressionist painter. The incredibly sparse, hushed performance utilizes a choir, viola, and percussion to create a meditative, almost completely static sonic environment that challenges traditional concepts of musical time.
