Album Notes & Community Reviews

This contemporary recording of the pioneering American composer's early 1970s masterwork highlights his signature use of sparse, hovering sonorities and free-floating time. Featuring violist Kim Kashkashian and the Robyn Schulkowsky ensemble, the performance perfectly captures the quiet, contemplative decay of each dissonant chord.
