Album Notes & Community Reviews

Initially released in two distinct parts, this sprawling double album explicitly examines the concept of 'grayness'鈥攔ejecting binary classifications in gender, race, and musical genre. Sumney鈥檚 astonishing vocal range acts as the centerpiece, moving fluidly between sweeping orchestral arrangements, complex jazz rhythms, and minimalist indie folk. It stands as a profound, conceptual triumph regarding isolation, identity, and the fluid nature of human existence.
