Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by a team including Ric Ocasek and Adam Schlesinger, 'Even If It Kills Me' exhibits a cleaner, more introspective power pop approach than the band's earlier synthesizer-heavy punk work. The lyrical content heavily addresses frontman Justin Pierre's recovery from substance abuse, framing personal anxieties within exceptionally melodic, upbeat arrangements. The project was widely recognized for bridging the gap between mainstream pop rock polish and introspective emo sincerity.
