Album Notes & Community Reviews

Initially self-released before being picked up by Epitaph, the debut from the Minneapolis quintet helped establish the synth-driven, neon pop-punk wave. Featuring heavily prominent Moog synthesizer lines, the record balances incredibly bright, highly energetic power pop melodies with Justin Pierre's deeply anxious, bittersweet, and melancholic lyricism.
