Album Notes & Community Reviews

Retreating from the heavy psychedelic and rock crossover experiments of his previous few releases, the legendary blues titan returned to his authentic, electrified Chicago roots on this highly celebrated album. Backed by a formidable band including Pinetop Perkins and James Cotton, the session is a vibrant, deeply swinging masterclass in the unadulterated, raw power of post-war electric blues.
