Album Notes & Community Reviews

Bridging generational gaps, this double album pairs the iconic blues pioneer with a contingent of younger, white blues-rock disciples, including Paul Butterfield and Mike Bloomfield. Split between blistering studio sessions and a raucous live performance in Chicago, it served to reaffirm his undisputed mastery to a new demographic of rock listeners.
