Album Notes & Community Reviews

Deliberately shedding the banjos, upright basses, and rustic aesthetics that defined their meteoric rise, the London quartet fully embraces plugged-in, stadium-scale alternative rock. Working with producer James Ford, the arrangements favor soaring electric guitars, atmospheric synthesizers, and traditional drum kits. The stylistic overhaul alienated some purists but successfully updated their sound for massive global rock radio.
