Album Notes & Community Reviews

Emerging from the fertile Philadelphia neo-soul scene, Taalib Johnson's debut effortlessly bridges classic 1970s soul with modern hip-hop production techniques. 'Aijuswanaseing' features rich, organic instrumentation, beatboxing elements, and Johnson's remarkably agile, falsetto-laced vocal delivery. The album's massive commercial success helped solidify Philadelphia's reputation as a dominant force in contemporary R&B.
