Album Notes & Community Reviews

Drawing deeply from traditional Qu茅b茅cois and American folk archives, Myriam Gendron reimagines centuries-old ballads with a distinctly haunting, minimalist approach. The bilingual project weaves delicate acoustic fingerpicking with subtle avant-folk textures and field recordings, bridging historic rural narratives with modern, melancholic intimacy. The critically acclaimed work firmly established her as a vital preservationist and innovator within contemporary folk music.
