Album Notes & Community Reviews
Bursting powerfully out of the burgeoning Swedish extreme metal scene, Naglfar's debut 'Vittra' perfectly balances freezing, high-speed aggression with triumphant, classically inspired melodies. The album actively avoids the lo-fi muddiness of their Norwegian contemporaries, utilizing crisp production to highlight incredibly intricate dual-guitar harmonies and relentless blast beats. It stands securely as an early, highly influential masterpiece of melodic black metal.
