Album Notes & Community Reviews

The frontwoman of the acclaimed future-soul band Hiatus Kaiyote steps out for a remarkably stripped-down and intimate solo debut. Composed almost entirely of her virtuosic vocal harmonies and complex, acoustic guitar playing, the neo-soul arrangements are peaceful yet highly abstract. The calm, organic production provides a striking contrast to the dense instrumentation of her primary project.
