The recording captures the Nakibembe Embaire Group in Tokyo, where the giant Busoga wooden xylophone at its centre is played by as many as eight musicians at once. Japanese engineer Naoyuki Uchida mixed the performance, and the crowd in the room is left audible throughout, answering the interlocking patterns.
