Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded in the aftermath of his mother's passing, 'God's Son' finds Nas turning deeply spiritual and introspective. The album balances hard-hitting boom-bap beats and boastful battle tracks with highly sentimental, conscious reflections on mortality and urban life. It marks one of the most emotionally mature periods in his storied career.
