That's Right! Nat Adderley and the Big Sax Section

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Setting his nimble cornet against an unusually dense backdrop composed entirely of saxophones and rhythm, the leader achieves a uniquely rich, reedy texture. The Jimmy Heath-penned arrangements successfully transpose the earthy, gospel-inflected soul-jazz of the Adderley brothers' small groups into a potent, highly disciplined larger ensemble format.
