Just One of Those Things

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping away from the heavy, funereal string orchestrations of his ballad records, the legendary vocalist utilizes the remarkably punchy, aggressively swinging big band charts of Billy May. The impossibly smooth, velvety baritone glides effortlessly over the brass-heavy, highly rhythmic tracks, perfectly balancing his romantic pop appeal with deep, undeniable jazz roots. The incredibly vibrant, joyous collection stands as one of the most consistently exciting and expertly crafted vocal pop records of the era.
