Album Notes & Community Reviews
Led by Joshua Abrams, this Chicago ensemble weaves together a deeply hypnotic fusion of spiritual jazz and African Gnawa rhythms. Featuring legendary saxophonist Ari Brown, the acoustic compositions are driven by the repeating, pulse-like grooves of the guembri, creating a warm, highly meditative trance state.
