Between the Real and the Shadow

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning to their most abrasive, terrifying tendencies, the French experimental duo crafts a chaotic, overwhelming wall of acoustic and electronic noise. Drowning their signature folk instrumentation in terrifying squalls of feedback, delay, and distorted chanting, the record abandons melody entirely to construct a deeply ritualistic, horrific ambient atmosphere. It is a grueling, magnificent drone statement.
