Album Notes & Community Reviews

Releasing his official debut album independently, Sage Elsesser (recording as Navy Blue) steps out from the shadows of his high-profile rap contemporaries. The production relies heavily on dusty, loop-based soul and jazz samples that complement his deeply poetic, stream-of-consciousness flow. The project established him as a vital, emotionally grounded voice within the modern lo-fi underground hip-hop movement.
