Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded incredibly quickly in just four days at Rick Rubin's Shangri-La studios, Neil Young delivers a stripped-down, fiercely political acoustic record. The album directly addresses the Dakota Access Pipeline protests and environmental degradation, featuring raw, spontaneous vocal deliveries and heavily distorted guitar solos erupting over sparse folk rhythms. While critically polarizing for its unpolished nature, it remains a testament to his immediate, urgent activism.
