Album Notes & Community Reviews

During the recording of this album, the acclaimed New Pornographers vocalist's home was completely destroyed in a tragic fire, deeply coloring the context of its release. Despite the immense personal loss, the record stands as her most sonically lush and collaboratively rich project to date, heavily featuring sweeping choral arrangements and soaring indie-folk instrumentation. It was widely celebrated as a masterful, fiercely resilient artistic triumph.
