Album Notes & Community Reviews

Before achieving widespread recognition as the lead guitarist for Wilco, Nels Cline issued this incredibly dense, challenging acoustic session. 'The Inkling' finds Cline exploring highly abstract avant-garde jazz and free improvisation alongside a rhythm section featuring drummer Scott Amendola. The album is characterized by intense, chaotic dissonance and unpredictable acoustic guitar manipulations, showcasing his profound technical depth.
