Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking her first solo studio album in eighteen years, the influential pop innovator teams up with Four Tet to produce a stark, fiercely contemporary comeback. Backed by the London electronic duo RocketNumberNine, the sparse, metallic percussion and dark synth pulses provide a minimal framework for Cherry's deeply confessional vocal delivery. The project effectively reasserted her status as a vital, boundary-pushing avant-pop artist.
