Primarily a solo endeavor by Jeff Mangum before forming a full band, this exceptionally lo-fi cassette release is a raw glimpse into the Elephant 6 collective's formative years. The surreal, tape-hiss-laden acoustic performances and chaotic noise collages establish the profoundly eccentric aesthetic that would later define his indie-folk masterpieces.
