Album Notes & Community Reviews

The critically acclaimed fourth album from the Seattle ensemble represents a landmark release in modern progressive metal. Utilizing Andy Sneap's crisp production, the record marks the band's transition to utilizing seven-string guitars, allowing Jeff Loomis to weave highly technical, groove-oriented thrash riffs beneath Warrel Dane's soaring, theatrical vocal performances and pessimistic sociopolitical lyricism.
